I’ve recently come across several people who suggest that we do more “soul listening.” In success parlance, Thomas Edison might have called it “sitting for ideas.” In Biblical quotes, it is the time to ask, seek and knock before entering meditation. Then sink into deep relaxation and put aside your physical, emotional and mental sensations, allowing you to center. Allow thoughts and feelings to emerge. Sometimes they are grand. Sometimes, they are the next guidance to achieve a goal, a revelation or insight about our dreams that make them more probable. It is listening for the guidance that is triggered as we visualize. It is the guidance “to make it so.” It may be the quantum jump.
May I suggest that you make time to visualize the New Year, either tonight at solstice or during the coming days before New Year’s Eve. There is magic in the air. We are close to the full moon. Whether you choose prayer, meditation, visualizations or resolutions, these are the moments to pause and reflect upon the past year and imagine what you would prefer in the coming year. It is a time to deeply relax and open to your inner self. What ideas emerge? Ask for what you dream. Seek the pathways to achieve your goals. Ask to be shown where to knock in your quest that the doors may open. See yourself in the midst of all the good and wonder of your dreams. Feel the joy, love and sense of well-being that you find in your visions.
Affirm these experiences. Afform them. Declare them to be true. Accept that this is so. As you bring your reverie to a close, write down your thoughts. These are the resolutions for the coming year that really come from your heart.
May all your dreams for 2016 come true. So be it and so it is. It is all very, very good.
Joy to the world,
